How to use Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime as WiFi hotspot

To use the Grand prime as WiFi hotspot, follow the steps given below.

  • Enable the mobile data on your grand Prime.
  • Go to settings-> More Settings
  • Tap tethering and Portable Hotspot
  • Move the slider to right infront of the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • Tap on to the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot to configure the Hotspot settings

How to use Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime as modem through USB tethering

To use the Grand prime USB tethering feature, follow the steps given below.
  • Connect your Grand prime to computer using the USB cable
  • Go to settings-> More Settings in your smartphone.
  • Tap tethering and Portable Hotspot
  • Move the slider to right infront of the USB tetehring.


You are now will be able to use Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime as Modem using Tethering and WiFi Hotspot.

  5. if mobile hotspot is not available under your settings then try updating your software then you will have the hot spot option on your device.

  6. Unless you "purchased" your phone from US Cellular and are on prepaid..in which case US cellular blocks these features entirely with no option to even purchase the feature. BEWARE: when you buy a phone from US Cellular outright you still do not own the phone..US cellular sells you data and then controlls its use..supposedly there are laws preventing this but they get away with it. Nothing can be done!
